Following is Amanda’s winning essay
Keeping your ears healthy will help you be a better
listener when you are communicating with your friends. To keep your ears
healthy, you should keep the volume down when listening to media and music
devices. By doing this you can prevent hearing loss when you are older.
Also, you should wear ear protection when you’re near loud noises. You
should never put sharp objects in your ears. This can damage your hearing.
Being a good listener is important when you’re communicating. To be a good
listener, you should have good eye contact. Having facial expression is
another way to be a good listener. Other important skills include paying
attention and staying on the subject. Listening plays an important role when
you communicate with your friends.
Congratulations to our winners and a special thank
you to all students who participated in the contests!
Watch for the campaign kick off announcement next year on the PSHA
website.
