Converting ASHA Hours into ACT 48 Hours

PSHA is approved to convert ASHA CEU attendance into ACT 48 hours, provided the workshop meets PDE (Pennsylvania Department of Education) requirements by supporting the K-12 academic standards.

✅ Criteria for ACT 48 Eligibility

To qualify for ACT 48 hours, a course must:

  • Be ASHA-approved.

  • Be planned and conducted by qualified personnel with relevant academic degrees and experience.

  • Include clear, skill-based competencies to be mastered upon course completion.

  • Require participants to demonstrate mastery of these competencies.

Note: The fee is per course, regardless of the number of hours.

How to Convert ASHA Hours to ACT 48 Hours

Step 1: Complete the ACT 48 Worksheet. 

Save the document with your last name.  You may list multiple courses on the same worksheet.  If you do not know your Professional Personnel ID (PPID) number, you may find it on the PERMS website.

Step 2: Submit Proof of Attendance. 

You will be required to upload proof of attendance on the Act 48 conversion request form.    

Choose one of the following methods:

  • Option A: Upload your ASHA transcripts showing the hours to be converted

OR

  • Option B: Submit both of the following:

    • The brochure or advertisement for the course.

    • The certificate of attendance.

Step 3: Submit the Online Request Form

Paper copies will no longer be accepted. You must upload both the completed Act 48 Conversion Worksheet from Step 1 and your proof of attendance in Step 2 on the form below.
