Hill Day Advocacy Event for PSHA

Next Hill Day- June 23, 2026

The Pennsylvania Speech-Language-Hearing Association (PSHA) organizes Hill Day events that bring together members and other stakeholders to engage with policymakers and lawmakers. Recent Hill Day events have raised important issues such as improved Medicaid reimbursement rates, high caseloads, staffing shortages, and other matters that impact access to care. 

Hill Day is organized by members of the Government Relations Committee in collaboration with our political consultant, who assists in strategic scheduling, development of talking points, and training attendees on how to be as effective as possible. During meetings, PSHA members have the opportunity to share their experiences directly with legislators and policy makers, and advocate for improved quality of care for patients and for the needs of professionals in the field. 

Hill Day amplifies the voice of SLPs, audiologists, clients, and caregivers in Harrisburg on matters that impact service delivery and public policy. Whether you're an experienced professional or new to advocacy, Hill Day is an essential platform for shaping the future of speech and hearing care in Pennsylvania.
