Learning Objectives Identify differences in pediatric vs adult anatomy and physiology of the swallow. Describe common therapeutic interventions utilized during pediatric VFSS. Define the impact of trauma-informed priniciples on performance during pediatric VFSS.
Speaker Biography Molly Polacco is a practicing speech pathologist in the Lehigh Valley region, with a specialization in infant/pediatric feeding and swallowing. She is board certified in neonatal therapy and has additionally achieved certifications in developmental care, lactation, and neonatal touch and massage. After presenting at ASHA, she is now a national speaker and volunteers her time on a variety of committees and ASHA mentorship programs.
